STV covers Greek smoking ban rebellion

Although the Scottish media didn't report the abortive bill by David Nuttall MP last week, they couldn't resist the Greek rebellion.

(We seem to be a little short on Scottish smoking ban news today: even ASH Scotland only had three stories, one of which was the Greek rebellion. Another was a story about scanning fingerprints as a method of age verification in shops, no online stories to link to, and the third was an appreciation of an anti-smoking Edinburgh couple who were co-founders of ASH Scotland.)

Smoking ban news north and south of the border

Scotland
And again
England
And again
And again
And again

The failure of David Nuttall's bill that would have allowed licensees the choice of letting customers smoke to get even a hearing is disappointing, if not entirely unexpected. Surely the Scottish media will give it more coverage than this?

Did any Scottish MPs actually vote today? Devolution does complicate politics! These people are still accountable to those who voted for them, are they not? ... even if the final result doesn't have any immediate bearing on their lives.
