Why is a BBC reporter saying that smoking is deeply unpleasant for people when he is clearly speaking only of part of the population, and when the subject at issue is harming people?
Irons is correct that smoking is in the only category of health hazards that is acknowledged by the establishment: nothing effective is being done about the vast majority of pollution that pervades everyday life, especially in these days of cutting back regulation in the UK. Focusing on smoking as a health hazard is fiddling while Rome burns.
